Rubina K. Vij, LMSW, CASAC, is a licensed master social worker and certified alcohol and substance abuse counselor dedicated to assisting individuals in overcoming challenges and achieving their goals. With a deep passion for her work, Rubina creates a safe and supportive space for clients to express themselves, using her compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach.

Rubina possesses a broad range of expertise, including mental health, addictions, grief counseling, marriage/couples/family therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), crisis intervention, community organizing, and policy advocacy. With her diverse skill set, she helps clients develop effective coping strategies and management techniques to address mental health concerns and overcome addictions.

As the Director of Therapy Services at Healing Mindz by Balveen Singh, D.O., in Congers, NY, Rubina demonstrates strong managerial skills. She oversees the therapy department, supervises clinicians, manages scheduling and office operations, and ensures high-quality care for patients. Rubina conducts psychosocial assessments, facilitates mental health intakes and bio-psycho-social assessments, and coordinates comprehensive care. Additionally, she recruits and trains therapists, offering professional development opportunities to enhance their skills.

In her role as a dedicated therapist, Rubina provides a comprehensive range of counseling services tailored to meet the unique needs of her clients. Whether offering individual counseling, marriage and family counseling, couples counseling, or facilitating group therapy sessions, Rubina creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges, foster personal growth, and cultivate healthier relationships.

Rubina's expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) allows her to employ evidence-based techniques to help clients recognize and modify negative thought patterns and behaviors, facilitating positive change and improved well-being. She is also skilled in crisis intervention, providing immediate support and guidance to individuals facing acute mental health challenges.

She conducts Zoom classes for ASWB Exam Preparation, offering guidance and support to students. Rubina has authored two children's books, "Kabir's World" and "Kabir's World Learns Covid Safety," and is currently working on a book/workbook on mental health and addictions as a practical resource for clients.

Rubina's educational background includes a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Capella University, a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Rutgers University, and she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) degree at Capella University.
